Adam Schofield – Co-opted School Governor
Adam is a Co-opted governor and was appointed by the governing body on 29th September 2016.
I've worked as a peripatetic instrumental and music teacher for the past six years, working in around 40 different schools, with children and classes ranging from foundation age through to year 6. This has allowed me to see how different schools work, in terms of their differing ethos, social / economic environments and staff structures etc. Through the role I have gotten to know the staff and children at Sutton well. That relationship has developed further now that I have a child in year one and another due to start in a couple of years.
I understand the school is in a period of transition with the retirement of Ellen, and have joined the governing board to provide any help I can in the shaping the school's future. I certainly feel I will learn a lot from the role and hopefully have some relevant experience to offer in return.
