Carol is a Co-opted governor and was appointed by the governing body on 18th May 2017.
My husband and I moved to Sutton-on-Trent in 2015 to be near our family and we have found it to be a very friendly village.
After retiring from my job as a primary school teacher in 2011 I continued to work with young children and their families, providing support in their own homes, through a charity called Homestart.
As an avid reader I am a frequent user of the local library where I regularly meet the children of Sutton-on-Trent Primary School when they visit on Fridays .The children are always enthusiastic and eager to share what they are reading.
Through this contact I realised I still have a strong interest in the education and development of young children and I believe that by being a governor of the school I can make a positive impact on ensuring the children continue to receive an excellent education at their local village school.
