Colleen is a Parent governor and was appointed by the governing body on 18th May 2017.
I moved into the village with my family in 2012 and, after a lot of moving about, we're very happy to be putting down roots in this great community. My children are both attending the school and I was keen to get involved where possible so I started helping as a volunteer. Through this I've seen the hard work and commitment that Staff, Governors and Volunteers put in and this inspired me to take the next step and join the governing body.
I've worked in a variety of fields and across many disciplines and I hope this will allow me to draw on the breadth of skills and experience I've picked up along the way. I spent my late teens and most of my twenties in the Royal Air Force working in telecoms before moving into corporate life in London, working for Visa where I spent 14 years in various roles in Marketing, Operations, Fraud Compliance and Customer Services. Since then I've been running my own businesses, getting involved in the community and enjoying time with my kids. I'm now looking forward to being involved as a governor and the challenges and rewards that the role will bring.
