A National Red, white and Blue day was held to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain. In assembly we watched a short video about the battle and why it was such a key event in World War 2.
The children then went back to their classrooms and each child made their own pennant to add to our British Bunting which we are going to hang in the hall. Each class tackled the project in different ways.
The younger children used paint or collage, others learned how to draw accurate circles in maths. The older children did some additional research and some chose to use ICT to produce their designs.
Children and staff were invited to wear RED, WHITE AND BLUE and make a donation to the armed forces charities supported by the event.
