I joined the governing body in 2014, initially as a Parent Governor.
As a governor, I want to help make a positive difference for the school and local community, and for each individual child who receives their primary education at Sutton On Trent, by helping to drive higher aspirations and learning outcomes. I look forward to continuing to support the staff team to ensure a strong future for Sutton on Trent Primary School.
My children and I have lived in the village since late 2008 and we have never experienced a community so warm and welcoming and the school remains at the very heart of our village for many people. My three children have all attended the school and have always been very happy here.
On a professional level, I have experience in strategic planning and management, as well as clinical skills and person and relationship centred thinking which I hope adds value to the governing body. I also have a post-graduate diploma in Coaching, so can offer opportunities for reflective practice and supporting others to equip themselves with the tools to solve current and future issues. I enjoy working with other people and am very proud to be a part of a great governing body team.
When not working or facilitating my children's social life, I can be found happily walking up and down hills, dancing at festivals or encouraging my children to start a band, and insisting I should be their backing singer, much to their embarrassment and my glee.
