The Governing Body would like to offer the following information to parents and carers, to ensure we have good communication between us and offer a standing invitation for people to talk or write to us.
What does a Governor do?
It is a Governor role to ensure that the statutory requirements of a governing body are met, and that we offer Fiona and her staff the support and appropriate challenge that every organisation needs to be able to function at its best. We meet on a regular basis throughout the year, either in full Governors meetings, finance meetings (monitor the school budgets and plan for the schools financial future), and Strategic development and Pupils meetings.
In addition to these duties we also carry out 24 other link responsibilities that require us to visit and monitor up to 3 times per year for each link responsibility and produce reports for each visit.
We also visit the school taking in the many wonderful activities that happen during the year and where we can offer help in funding issues and sponsorship.
Further information about each of our governors, our meetings and how to become a governor can be found via the links below.
