Paul Hibberd

Picture 1

Paul is a Parent governor and was appointed by the governing body on 18th May 2017.

I have lived in the village with my wife Ellie and our two children since 2013, my son attends the school as will my daughter in the coming years.

My career began as an IT Service Desk Analyst nearly twenty years ago in the City of London. Throughout my career I have worked in a number of IT support teams with the large majority of my technical years spent looking after large Windows networks and enterprise email solutions. Today I am responsible for a global team, which provides technology infrastructure services and support to the International Securities Business of one of the largest financial groups in the world.

My role involves all aspects of people management, including recruitment, development and performance management. In addition to sourcing and recruiting subject matter experts I have successfully incorporated apprenticeship placements into my team. I continue to work hard to provide opportunities to individuals that have the desire and motivation to succeed in a career that is often only accessible to university graduates.

Technology continues to interest me and I enjoy spending my limited spare time implementing solutions in the home as well as supporting family and friends. I’m not entirely IT focused and also have interests in DIY, films and Formula 1 (not quite the full nerd).

In my workplace I am a member of the Corporate, Social Responsibility Committee which aims to ensure we have a positive impact on the local community. I joined the Governing Body with a view to giving something back to my own community and its residents. In an evolving digital world there is need to ensure that the adoption of Technology has a positive impact for all concerned and I aim to work with the my peers, the school and it’s staff and pupils to ensure that can happen safely and successfully.
