I joined the governing body after retiring and feel that I have the time to commit to the important role of being a governor. I believe I bring the skills and knowledge that I gained in education over my teaching career to the governing body, and I would like to continue to be involved in my local school, using my experience to support the young people of the village.

I have lived in the village since 2000 and have always found it to be a friendly and supportive environment. I have been a member of the village festival committee for the last three years.

In July 2016 I retired after a teaching career of thirty-seven years, mainly working with the secondary age group, although latterly with our family primary schools. I am involved in sport, particularly hockey, where I officiate at National level.
