Uniform
Our school uniform is designed to be both smart and practical, with some elements of choice to meet the needs of all learners. We believe school uniform creates a sense of belonging that is important to our school community. We hope pupils will be proud to wear their school uniforms, including the school logo where possible. Our school colour is dark green.
Pupils are expected to wear uniform for both classroom learning and PE lessons.
Expected items of uniform are listed below:
All pupils wear white or dark green polo shirts and a dark green sweatshirt or cardigan. Polo shirts, cardigans and sweatshirts with the school logo are available from our uniform supplier, but items without logos can be purchased from supermarkets if parents prefer.
Pupils can choose trousers, skirts or pinafores in grey or black.
Black or grey socks should be worn with trousers.
Black, grey, white or green socks and tights can be worn with skirts, pinafores and dresses.
Shoes should be black and smart. To avoid injury children should always wear sensible shoes that cover their feet. As such, heels should not be worn to school.
In the summer, black or grey shorts, green gingham dresses, black sandals and white ankle socks can all be worn.
Uniform for PE
Pupils wear PE uniform all day on the days that they are timetabled to have PE and sports.
Our PE T-shirt with logo is available from the uniform supplier although a plain green T-shirt may be worn if preferred.
All pupils must wear plain black shorts, jogging bottoms or leggings. Cycling shorts should not be worn.
Children will also require a pair of trainers.
When the weather demands an extra layer to keep warm, pupils can wear the green school hoodie which is available from the uniform supplier. The school cardigan, sweatshirt or fleece can also be worn.
Additional items
Green fleeces with the school logo are also available.
Children are encouraged to use a school book bag, which is available in a choice of colours
General Appearance
Hair should be kept tidy and look smart. We encourage pupils with long hair to tie it back using bobbles and slides in school or neutral colours. It must be tied back for all PE lessons.
Make up, nail varnish, jewellery and tattoo transfers should not be worn.
A single pair of stud earrings can be worn but should be removed or covered with tape for PE lessons.
We appreciate that sometimes logo uniform can be expensive so we researched thoroughly before choosing our suppliers to keep costs low.
We also aim to hold a second hand uniform sale each term.
Questions should be directed through the school office.
