Upon qualification as a solicitor in 2005, I initially practised as a criminal court advocate covering all aspects of criminal law. I also practised Licensing Law dealing with licence transfers as well as personal and premises applications for businesses conducting regulated activities such as the provision of alcohol and late night refreshments.
After over a decade in litigation and having children I decided to convert to Private Client law and am now involved in trust and probate work as well as the administration of estates. I am also regularly instructed by clients to advise on and prepare Wills and Powers of Attorney.
Why become a governor? My two young children both attend Sutton-on-Trent Primary School and a lot of my close family and friends are teachers. As such I have seen first hand the hard work and dedication invested by staff. I hope to be able to use my legal knowledge to contribute to the successful governance of this lovely school.
