Hello and welcome

The PTA is set up to support the school by raising money to enhance, enrich and improve the learning experiences of the children.

We hope that through our activities we also help to bring the school and home communities closer together.

Joining the PTA is a great chance to meet new people throughout the school community and have fun!

The PTA team

The PTA events/activities are run by a committee and network of parents/teachers who are all volunteers.

People give as much or as little time as they choose and we try to utilise our volunteers existing skills and passions where we can.

Every parent/carer who has a child at Sutton-on-Trent Primary and Nursery School is automatically a member of the PTA. If you’d like to play a more active role then please get in touch. We have meetings roughly once a month. The dates and times of meetings and events are advertised on our Facebook Page and in the weekly School Newsletter.

Recent Events

We have lots of regular events throughout the academic year to raise funds for the children of Sutton-on-Trent Primary School. These include: 

Non-uniform Day's - Children can come to school dressed as they like.
Pre-loved Uniform Sales - We aim to have a sale once every half term. It's a fantastic way to stock up on the next size uniform. We also have Halloween Costumes, 

Christmas Jumper & Nativity Costumes and World Book Day Costume sales. Donations of uniforms and costumes etc. are always gratefully received.

Textile Recycling - Clear your cupboards and help us raise money. Fill a bin bag with donations of clothes, paired shoes (tied together), handbags, belts, bedding, towels and curtains. All items must be clean but can be worn out and torn. These are twice a year generally in September and February.
The Halloween Disco - Always a fun evening seeing the whole school dressed up and some crazy dancing! Tuck shop available so bring some pennies.
Christmas Cards - Brilliant quality, designed by your child. Personalised Christmas cards, wrapping paper, key rings, magnets and more.
Christmas and Summer Fairs - Held straight after school with lots of games, prizes, crafts and a visit from Santa at Christmas. Will the wine to water stall be the most popular again!

Seasonal Cake and Ice cream sales
 

We welcome any help from parents, teachers and friends. Every little helps, so just one hour of assisting at an event or wrapping lucky dip prizes or folding raffle tickets (just a few examples) would be invaluable. If you would like to join us please speak to a committee member, come along to our next meeting or email us suttonontrentpta@gmail.com.  
The PTA collection box is always available in the school reception to put donations in.

As a registered charity we can benefit from your involvement, however big or small, at any of our fundraising events.

Newark and Sherwood Community Lottery

The Newark and Sherwood Community Lottery is an exciting weekly lottery that raises money for good causes in the district.
